Well behaved dogs are always welcome on the Discovery Walk. Please keep your dog on a lead at all times. Your dog should be comfortable with meeting other people, dogs, etc.
Please kindly note that the Adventure Walk includes a section on a narrow hill path which might not be suited for some dogs.
We recommend comfortable shoes, either trainers or walking shoes for the Discovery Walk, and walking shoes for the Adventure Walk.
Rain gear is also advisable if needed.
In summer on certain days midge repellent might come handy, too.
The Discovery Tour is generally suitable for older children. Your kids should like walking and be interested in learning a bit about the area and listening to stories, otherwise they might not enjoy the tour.
You as a parent or a carer are the best person to decide if the Adventure Walk is suited for your kid.

The Discovery Walk is in general an easy walk on mainly flat terrain. It requires a reasonable level of fitness as we walk for longer distances.
Comfortable shoes advised, best are trainers or walking shoes.
The Adventure Walk is easy in parts, however also a walk with medium difficulty as it contains more challenging sections on uneven, possible boggy ground, and some steep sections as well. A level of fitness is required and you should feel comfortable walking on a narrow roocky hill path for a while.
Walking shoes or sturdy trainers are a must for this walk.
Unfortunately not really. There are public toilets in Ullapool in West Argyle Street opposite the museum very close to the starting point of the tour. We might be able to find a public toilet in emergencies towards the end of both walks. Sorry for the inconvenience.

In general the Discovery Walk is a good choice out of the main season. The Adventure Walk is more tricky after heavy and prolonged rain or snow as the hill path can get very boggy underfoot. Please contact us and we will be able to advise.
Ullapool Tours can cancel a tour at any time. Of course, we will cancel tours only when absolutely necessary due to abysmal weather, illness, etc., or circumstances not in our control.
Ullapool Tours can alter tours at any time if necessary for safety reasons or other unforeseen circumstances.
Ullapool Tours accepts no liability for personal injury, any loss of property or damage to your car during the duration of the tour.

We advise appropriate footwear/clothing according to the weather and terrain. Midge repellent might be advisable during the summer months.
All minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please keep younger children under close supervision for safety reasons.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times during a tour when outside. No dogs are allowed on our food tours.
Abusive behaviour to staff will not be tolerated.
We advise to be at the meeting point 5 minutes prior to the tour. Unless notified otherwise, the guide will leave the meeting point 15 minutes after the starting time if you don’t show up.
If you book a food tour we assume that you do not have any allergies or special dietary requirements. Participating with any allergies is at your own risk and we do not take any responsibily for you. We do NOT recommend our food tours if your are vegan, have an allery or follow a special diet.
